 Higher Education in Prison Program

The Portland State University Higher Education in Prison (PSU HEP) program allows women at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility to work towards a degree while experiencing incarceration and to be able to to quickly and easily matriculate to the PSU campus upon release, while receiving the supports needed to be successful. Because of its institutional commitment to equity and strategic urban location, PSU is uniquely positioned to create and strengthen educational opportunities that support incarcerated and reentering students, and to create pathways to degree completion. Donations from the AAUW Lake Oswego Branch members will help support women in the PSU HEP program during their higher-education journey. You can learn more HERE.

Every gift, regardless of amount, creates opportunity. Your donation will bring the power of higher education within reach for women reentering the workforce. Your support helps women of all backgrounds overcome barriers, complete their education, and improve their lives.

Donations to the Lake Oswego PSU HEP program are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
